"Cobras" Operators Will Participate at Manifestation "Vidovdanski sabor srbskih vitezova 2015"

Operators of the elite Military Police Battalion of Special Purpose “Cobras” will participate at this year`s manifestation that will be held at the great Serbian holiday of Vidovdan, on 28th of June at the sports hall in the center of city of Ruma.

Cultural-sports manifestation "Vidovdanski sabor srbskih vitezova" was for the first time organized in June 2014, and among participants were operators of the Special Anti-terrorist Unit-SAU, Counter Terrorist Unit-CTU, pilots of the 240th Aviation Brigade of the Serbian Army, as well as experienced instructors Milan Vukelic and Dusan Jakovljevic.

This year also organizators will gather elite Serbian soldiers and policemen, members of the cultural-artistic associations from Serbia, Republic of Srpska, as well as many martial arts clubs.

Approved by the decision of the General Staff of the Army of Serbia, ten operators of “Cobras” will accept the invitation of the organizers and will demonstrate to the spectators skills that are studied within special physical training of the operators, for which is largely responsible legendary instructor Dusan Jakovljevic. The demonstration of the soldiers will contain following elements:

-usage of cold weapons (knives, blades, bats, nun-chucks, sticks and the like) -shado fighting using tanto knives -sparring through combination of box, kick-boxing, judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques -defence from the attacked armed with a knife -defence from the attacker armed with firearm -silent approaching and quiet neutralization of the enemy guards

Entrance to the manifestation will be free, will the details regarding to the upcoming event, its protocol as well as other participants will soon be published.
