At the same time, the seven-day advanced counter terrorist training of the elite operators from the 72nd Special Operations BrigadeM (SOB) and experience operators from the 2nd Special Purpose Brigade (Rus. 2-я отдельная бригада специального назначения) of the Russian Armed Forces has been completed with the Joint Response 2021 demonstration. The every-day intensive training included real-time responding to complex situations, with an extensive use of live ammo.
The importance of the joint training in the previous days, including the final exercise with the Russian Spetsnaz operators, is reflected in the fact that we were able to deem and check our own special forces whilst operating through that training, in a possible co-action, or joint response with partners against possible terrorist threats, rebellions, or any other form of enemy threat.
The demonstration at Orešac was helmed by the commander of the 72nd SOB, Brigadier General Miroslav Talijan, who underlined the importance of the practical experience exchange in modern counter-terrorism, with the exercise being carried out by around 400 Serbian and Russian SF operators, using 14 combat-armored vehicles, 6 vessels and 4 aircrafts.
Also, the experience exchange was exceptionally useful, bearing in mind the fact that the unit was active on various locations in Syria, multiple times.
The dynamic tactical exercise consisted of four sequences, conducted by merged teams and groups of the Serbian and Russian SF operators — reconnaissance actions in order to collect data, its processing, creating and conveying intel, followed by an attack on terrorist forces, attack on a hijacked vehicle, in terms of preventing escape and suspects arrest, with an evac tactics out of the area of interests, presented during the last phase.
The training has been highly successful and the final goal has been achieved — anytime and anywhere, we are able to successfully fight and neutralize all enemy attempts to endanger security of our country and all citizens.
A special attention was drawn to the Tiger-M, 4×4 multi-purpose light armored infantry vehicles, produced by GAZ, as well as the specialist firearms of the 2nd Brigade operators.
With the completion of the dynamic demonstration, the Russian Generals awarded fifteen operators of the Serbian Armed Forces and fifteen operators of the Russian Armed Forces for their high personal results during preparations and exercise execution, while the present policymakers and military officials pointed out that the Joint Response 2021 is yet another in series of confirmations of the exceptional bilateral military and political cooperation between the two partner countries.Tweet
